Who we are and what we do
HE@Work is a not-for-profit advisory service, a partnership between the Edge Foundation - the education charity which sponsors practical and vocational learning - and the University Vocational Awards Council.
We offer advisory, design and support services to enable organisations to turn work competence and experience into recognised knowledge – introducing academic awards without sacrificing an organisation’s control over its own training and progression programmes.
We are aligned closely with Government initiatives on workplace learning and aim to increase its recognition as a route to an academic qualification by making it easier for senior professional and technical personnel to gain awards awards. These can be shorter certificates or whole degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Our advisors are leading business and higher education experts. Through their deep understanding of business they can help you develop convincing cases which clearly link the learning and development of your employees to your strategic needs.
We know how to set up the procedures to link business requirements to academic accreditation and we can help you build a rewarding relationship with the right university for your staff.
